If, like many people in marketing and advertising, you are a fan of Mad Men, you may bemoan the fact that season four won't start until around July. Perhaps this has been playing on the subconscious of agency creatives, who can't seem to get enough of that Mad Men typography.

Maybe I'm seeing things. But I'm definitely not hearing things. Another trend is to hire Mad Men star Jon Hamm to be the voice of your brand. Here's an ad from Comcast's xfinity featuring Hamm:
Mercedes has nabbed Hamm, too. Their new C-Class ad (not yet available on YouTube) even has the fictional ad man talking about features versus benefits. Really, guys? It sounds like someone mistook the creative brief for the script.
