  • Roast beef in lieu of steak in tacos
  • Doritos used in lieu of proper nacho chips

Marco!

My very first polo match, in Windsor no less. How very British. Sue and Rob prepared a fabulous picnic complete with fine china, gourmet food and Pimms. I even got a tan, so I am now one shade darker than see-through.

One Wedding and a Civil War Reenactment

I went to my first UK wedding and was surprised to learn that British weddings really do have the “if anyone here knows any reason why these two should not be wed” clause, followed by a long pause. What drama!

I did feel a little under dressed at this wedding, as I had no weaponry. For some reason there was a U.S. Civil War Reenactment going on. For some reason, the entire U.S. Civil War troop took pictures with the bride. For some reason, I drank about three bottles of white wine.

LARGE C-O-K £1.25.

I stared at that one for a second. “Oh yeah, Diet Coke.”
